Internet TV

Yesterday i downloaded one program which is called - JLC's Internet TV. It's high over my expectations, it has lot's of TV programs all over the world, from Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Australia. It's far better then cable, but you'll need at lest 256k connection, but i recommend 512k... And it's totally free, with installation package of whole 100 kb.

My summer vacation is almost over, this is my last week :((
Tomorrow is my dad's 50th birthday (omg, he's old), and i didn't figure what to buy, well, aftershave balsam is always an option.

...13...

This is mine 13th post. Many people think that the number 13 is unlucky number, better say cursed. I don't really believe in that shit, but you have an interesting text about it at Wikipedia.
This weekend was pretty neat, on Saturday i laugh at my friend who got drunk drinking almost nothing, and after that i went to Feky's house and he tried to install Debian on his ultra-mega-giga box, but it took a while so i went home.

Last night was very interesting too. I went to a birthday party, 3 of them were celebrating. A friend of mine, who will stay anonymous, and me were drinking a lot, so we got drunk. Unfortunately, he puked on himself and friend's car, thx God i didn't see that.
And i didn't throw up in case you're wondering.

New HDD!!1!

Yesterday, i bought a new HDD, with 320 GB of memory, 16 mb cache, 3 gb/s, 7200 rpm SATA 2.

I really don't need this much space, but my dad insisted to buy a 320 gb instead of 250 gb one, because there's not much difference in money. Anyway, i'll give him my old one, ide hdd with 80gb. Now i've to install windoze again, and i plan to put Ubuntu 7.04 and Backtrack, for experimenting.
I'm not satisfied with Slackware, its package archive is so small that doesn't have things i need, ex. pptp, then i decided to put the worlds favourite distro, Ubuntu, and hope that the Backtrack would be interesting to explore.
Also, i bought 2 coolers, one of 12 cm and one of 8 cm. Now, my box is cool like an ice cube. It's very hot in my town, so i can cool my feet a lil' bit ;)

History :D

4 years ago, in 5th grade of elementary school, i made a song called "Istorija", or in English, "History". It's a bit monotone, but at least it's mine. Check it out.

Scroll on Slackware

As you already know, you can't scroll in Slackware by default, you have to set it by yourself (stupid, but life is a bitch).
Open your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, and find Section "InputDevice" - Identifier "Mouse1". Edit the folowing with:

Section "InputDevice"

# Identifier and driver

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Buttons" "4"

And your mouse scroll will work.
P.S. Next to Option "Buttons" type how many buttons do you have, i have 4, so i typed "4"

Learning linux...

Ah, i finally managed my partitions to work, with few tips from Feky and guys from elitesecurity.org, all partitions have been mounted (nano). Today, Feky visited me and learned me how to install packages which i downloaded for testing. He also brought his HD from his old b0x (30 GB :D). Few needles are broken and we were unable to start it, so he gave it to the local computer store to fix it.

Anyway, im starting to learn linux, it's not that hard as i thought, i just have to adjust to it, and realize how it works. I was suffering to set the monitor's frequency, and after editing the xorg.conf, it finally reached its fastest, 100 Hz. Now i hope my eyes won't heart :) (i really must to buy a tft monitor).

I downloaded today Diskinternal's Linux Reader, and im quite impressed. It's a simple program based on Windows Explorer which can read linux partitions like ext2, ext3 and swap. Also, you can copy the files, but not to delete or make them in those partitions.

Slackware on my box

Yesterday, Feky installed me a new edition of oldest linux distro, Slackware.
I'm amazed with its functionality and great look. It comes with many programs in packages, desktop environments like KDE, XFCE, but there isn't GNOME.
It's very easy to use, but u know, have to learn how to install things. Anyway, i suggest to all linux maniacs, or 'i'll be 1337 when i install linux' maniacs to try the Slackware.

Maid Marian games

I checked the site MaidMarian.com, and i saw some interesting online multyplayer games. All you need is a web browser, Adobe Shockwave player and that's all. You don't have to install anything, just click and play. Most popular games are Sherwood and Tank Ball 1 and 2, of course, you have few more games on the list.

Sherwood is third person game, like Blizzard's Diablo for example, you choose a character and fight with demons, spiders, sceletons and shit, and you have experience which increase your level. There're health, armor, damage etc, weapons, shields, rings and amulets, and of course, quests... And which is most interesting and important, every time you sign in with your nickname, you continue with your character with all his skills and weapons. Try teH game..

Tank Ball is interesting game, you have a tank and go around and shoot with other tanks, no skills, nothing, just pure fun of destruction.

Developers of these games put an accent on chat, so you have ability to chat with other game users.

Maid Marian games wouldn't be so fun if it isn't online, so you can have really great fun for no money! :) free as in freedome...
